As Taylor Swift says “Welcome to New York!” This piece is an ode to NY Fashion Week with New York inspired abstraction through textures galore. From orange that represents the youthful vibrance of the city, to pretzel like knits, pearlized traffic jams, patine art deco triangles, to pins making their mark in the Big Apple. Each piece of this 3D eye candy was an experiment of simulations, textures, and shaders in Cinema 4D. With the short time span of a week, it was a challenge I was excited to tackle head on! Time to Sashay away and keep playing in Cinema!

Graphic Design Mood Board

I studied trendy, bold graphic design to play around with type in tandem with this piece. This was a fun exercise in balancing 2D and 3D together.

3D Mood Board

I studied fun textures, patterns, and more that inspired me as I crafted my journey. This project involved a deep dive into the capabilities of simulations and procedural animation in Cinema 4D.

Color Scheme

Color scheme is inspired by the bold color scheme of New York, its city colors, and the spring time boldness of NYC’s Fashion Scene.
