For this project, I chose to do a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for an issue which I am interested in and believe is in need of action now. I chose to do a PSA to bring awareness to toxic chemicals that are prevalent within USA's makeup products and have been known to cause many health problems, including cancer. The PSA is designed to draw support from the Toxic Beauty Act. This Act was proposed by the Breast Cancer Prevention Partners who work to ban toxic chemicals in various cosmetics. I found this issue to be something I am very intrigued with as I am a big consumer of cosmetics. I was surprised to learn about dangerous chemicals hidden within everyday products. Therefore, I felt this was a topic that needed to be elucidated through a PSA to fellow makeup users.

Script Writing
Script was inspired by research conducted on beauty ads. Script was formulated using key beauty advertising terminology to make it correlate directly to the beauty industry.
Type Analysis
After taking a deep dive analyzing and finding fonts that might work well in this project, I decided upon the two sets of fonts on the right side to have the right balance of traditional beauty fonts mixed with modern beauty fonts. An action done to reflect how it is time to move on from our past and into the future of beauty; a time in which we are thinking consciously about what we are applying to our bodies.
Color Scheme and Mood Board
Color Scheme is inspired by colors of common beauty products and ads (seen below). Darker colors added to add a more toxic feel to particular scenes.
