We often see collaboration between companies and influencers in this day and age. For this project, I wanted to explore what a partnership would look like for me as an artist if I collaborated with a brand. I decided upon the idea of working with O.P.I. I chose O.P.I. because I love nail polish, as it is often used to express oneself. I decided to do perfection in orange because it is my favorite color and something I associate with perfectionism. After all, it is something I strive for as an artist. This project here is the first part of the O.P.I campaign. You can view the campaign's process below and the second nail polish In the duo by going to the next page on the left!

Process

Personality Trait Brainstorm

Before starting the design process for this project, I created a personality trait list to find personality similarities between me and O.P.I that would allow for me to create a more successful collaboration concept.

Style Mood Board

With this collaboration project focusing on me as an artist, I wanted to create a style mood board before designing. Doing this allowed me to figure out what route I wanted to take that could make a visually pleasing aesthetic that was fitting for both O.P.I and me! The mood board consists of my artwork and other individuals who have inspired my style in the past.

Storyboard(s)

The first storyboard I explored for this project was the combination of both concepts I had for the O.P.I project. However, after careful consideration and exploration, I decided that it would be better to do two separate clips that gave each nail polish the right attention.

This is the second storyboard, the board I built my design board off of. The concept works around the idea of showing the meticulous idea of crating the nail shade that reflects the idea of precision that I make a core trait of my artistic personality.
